Daily Bible Reading
At New Hope Community Fellowship we read the Bible through Scripture, Observation, Application, and Reflection with prayer, which we call S.O.A.R. This method of reading the Bible will help in developing a better understanding of the word of God, instead of just reading words on a page. Topic for today: God A True Know-It-All
SCRIPTURE
Read It: Psalm 139:1-6- O Lord, you have search me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.
OBSERVATION
There is only one in the universe who knows it all God. One of the attributes of God is that God is omniscience meaning that Gods’ all knowing. The omniscience of God means that there is absolutely nothing God doesn’t know—that there is no information system or data that exists anywhere outside of God’s knowledge—nothing.
APPLICATION
God knows all about me. God knows the problem that I am encountering. Do I trust that God is an all knowing, all seeing, all-powerful God in my life? Is there evidence that I believe that God knows all in my everyday walk?
REFLECTION
God knows me intimately; every cell in my body, and God loves me! Thank you God for knowing all about me. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for seeing me when I can’t see you. I love you, Lord. Amen.
